Thanks. Prices for full face helmets start at £180 for one colour. As long as the remedy is in good condition and the factory clear coat hasn't been damaged and exposed the carbon it will be good to go. I was thinking about painting my remedy soon.

No doubt. But I've yet to see a broken one or someone who isn't completely satisfied with the stem. I'm with you on the warranty though, seems like smoke and mirrors.

crashin wrote
Jun 9, 2010 at 15:46
Ahh, okay. Cool. Seems like a sick product to me, but I can't be bothered getting into an argument. Cheers for telling me that though, swayed my opinion on my next stem thats for sure.

"These tests have shown that the Point One 31.8mm zero rise stem is nearly as stiff as the best of the competition, but much lighter." and it came second in the test? Thats not too bad.

I'm stoked. I better finish off paying my frame etc. off and I think I'll get a set!

dh-pete wrote
Jun 5, 2010 at 10:37
12 degree in theory should be best. Instead of a cruiser bar feel, try rotating them forward until you feel a good upsweep. As I said, in 'theory' you should be able to obtain a 9 back and 3 up or a 8 back and 4 up. Depending on your setup. I could also be very wrong!

dh-pete wrote
Jun 2, 2010 at 10:40
Siiiiick! Give me figures man, Grammz, width (carbon can get inaccurate), whether they have the titanium anti-crush mesh on the clamping area and finally what sweep and how they feel. I may be ordering a set very soon, got a bit leary in some rocks and I've got a nice gouge.

With the uzzi, if you get the air shock, it becomes 6.5-7" of travel. I have industry nine wheels that I need to put onto either the slopestyle, uzzi, nomad carbon, or ibis hd

trevormann wrote
Apr 20, 2010 at 12:15
Do you know if the nomad or ibis can fit my wheels (20mm front, 12 x 135 rear)? Or what do you think about the intense uzzi vp with dhx 5 air? Thanks man, I appreciate it!

trevormann wrote

Thanks man I appreciate your response. It will be a 2011 model. So you don't think it would be good as a bike that can pedal to a coffee shop, ride singletrack, but also do a little DH? I'd put light, all mountain parts like a 36 talas and etc. You can't adjust the seatpost? I also hear the hammerschmidt is compatible with this frame and it'll work well.. Thanks bro

No news on them yet. But to be fair I haven't bothered asking. I haven't got the money for them yet and wont until after christmas. They're known to not bother updating their site so shoot them an e-mail or e-mail one of their European distributors for availability.

To be fair, if you're buying the only 740mm wide carbon bars in existence, I can't see why you would want to cut them down at all. However I see no harm in doing so, but first check the length of their re-enforced clamping zones to make sure cutting them doesn't put your brake levers on a flimsily thin part of the bar that will crush well before the torque limit is achieved.
